Bicycle Sizing
Standover Height
Your inside leg measurement will determine your standover height - this is the clearance between the bike crossbar (top tube) and your crotch when stood in front of the saddle. We suggest a clearance of about 4cm to enable you to hop off quickly if required.
Classic 54cm (Small) cross bar height - 78cm
Classic 57cm (Medium) cross bar height 81cm
Classic 60cm (Large) cross bar height - 84cm
Height
Our Classic frame sizing guideline is as follows:
Classic 54cm (Small) rider height 5'-3" to 5'-9" (160-175cm) Classic 57cm (Medium) rider height 5'-7" to 6’-1" (170-185cm) Classic 60cm (Large) rider height 5'-11" to 6’-4” (180-195cm)
Reach
If your height and inside leg measurements put you in-between two sizes, then your upper body should be the deciding factor. Your upper body dimensions determine your reach, and this affects how 'stretched-out' you'll be along the top tube of your bike. To work out if you have a long or short reach, measure your arm span - the length from finger tip to finger tip when your arms are outstretched.
If your arm span is greater than your height then we suggest you go for the larger of the two bike sizes. If your height is greater than your arm span, then you will probably be more comfortable on the smaller of the two bike sizes.
